That's a nice upgrade on EWR-BCN/DUB, from 777HD to 78J Polaris seats. Hope some PZ space will open once schedules are loaded.

Anyone have insights on when to expect the seatmap to load for these flights? I have a may flight EWR-BCN that should swap, and want to jump on the opportunity to select seats when that happens.

Speaking of...any insights on where bassinets are located? Based on the 789, I'm thinking 3 of them may be up at the Premium Plus section, which could be interesting/challenging.

Tickets will be available for purchase on Dec. 3
Presumably the seatmap will be updated to reflect the correct aircraft.

Looks like TPG has a tour up of the 78X - looks nice. However, no comment on spacing relative to the 77W, which I would expect to be a little smaller.

Word is very tight aisles in J. The Polaris seats are also angled a bit differently from the 77W according to the LOPA, so the in-seat width shouldn’t be noticeably different.

PE should be similar to the 777, if not a bit wider since it’s 2-3-2 versus 2-4-2.

The Y seats are the Aspire model from the 772 retrofits which should be an improvement over the 787-8/9 seats.

Based on TPG pics, looks like the angles are shallower, meaning the even number seats are not so aggressively slanted towards the aisles.

With the introduction of Premium Plus seats here, I'm curious if UA will have any plans to add these to the 777 international fleet, particularly the planes that haven't gone through the Polaris retrofit yet. PP would be a great alternative to that awful ten across Y for folks that can't fly business.

Premium plus seats are already on 9 refitted 772 and around 4 77W.

Will they install a Premium Plus section on all 772 & 77W aircraft, including the recently refitted Polaris birds?

PP will be added concurrently with Polaris on all 772, 787 and 764 retrofits. The 17 767-300ERs which will have the high-J '76L' configuration also will receive PP when reconfigured. The 77W fleet is slowly getting PP.

In other words, there won't be PP on any aircraft that don't also have a 'true' Polaris cabin.
