I don't like it.
For most of my trips, the flight time matters. So when I select my outbound, the $400 roundtrip price shown for my desired outbound is meaningless if it's only available when combined with the 5 am return flight, and if the 6 pm return costs lost more. I'd rather see the breakdown for each direction, since I do have the option to fly UA one way and another carrier in the other direction.
And it's especially confusing if you sometimes book mixed cabin trips. An outbound F may show the price as $800 (that's for combining with an F return), but when I select the return, Y is available for $500 (F out Y back).

Exactly. I can never figure it out and it doesn't make sense to me. $ 500 to HKG and $ 2000 for the return.

I like it. If only for the total approximate flying to a destination might cost me.
This is especially helpful when planning a vacation when I don't have any set idea of where I want to go. If I can quickly get some rough approximate costs of how much a flight to Japan vs Hong Kong vs Australia vs London vs Rome vs Venice vs Paris, etc. Then I can start focusing if I notice one area seems to be much cheaper.

It's not like ITA where you have to explicitly exclude them. On .bomb you can see the price difference easily

Definitely a lot more straightforward, especially for international itineraries. If you want to search the individual one-ways for domestic (like myself and many others) still completely doable. ^
