Welcome to this thread to ask your basic, simple questions about United Airlines, its operations, or the MileagePlus program. We know that the airline is complex and we’ve created this thread for new and veteran members to ask those basic questions about United Airlines that you think must have an easy answer but just can’t find it or aren’t sure where to look.

* meaning that ZH isn't an inventory code; it's just a code used for FF crediting, to capture the underlying fare basis

This issue happened to me last month ORD-IAH on a 767. Booked into P, got upgraded to "ZT". 1 PQS and only 1x PQM. Glad to see wasn't just me.

Seeing LH partner biz saver availability on NA and SQ, but not on UA. Is UA currently having issues displaying some LH flights? I see other ones available, but not a bunch I'm seeing on NH and SQ. My guess is that LH isn't making space available to all partners at the same time?

If you re-qualify for 1K, you may be able to ask for a GPU to be extended, but based on past years' experience, that won't be possible until sometime in November or so. It's not a published benefit, but UA has consistently allowed GS and 1K members to extend 2 unused GPUs until April. (Of course, that doesn't mean they'll do so this year).

Thank you I also saw the answer on GPU thread.
No, and no.

To be clear, I am searching for 2 adults x 1 infant. I found availability through NH and SQ, but not AC and UA.
UPDATE 4/24 - I finally see the award available so I grabbed it. Still seeing inconsistencies on other dates, but it could just be UA being slow to update.

27XX is likely a ferry flight -- no paying customers

The shortest flight in the system?
As suggested, it's listed as a ferry flight. I believe UA does some maintenance work at HOU, although I'm not sure exactly what. That aircraft is currently scheduled to operate Tuesday's IAH-PTY flight, so I expect it was either something quick or they're going to have to find a new frame... https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N37263

Funny thing, one time as I was changing planes at IAH saw IAH-HOU, or maybe it was just HOU at the gate.
Needless to say, there were no pax in the area waiting for that flight.
Though I've done the EFD flight many times back in the day

Why were seats 23BC assigned on the ferry flight? 7DE are automatically blocked, but 23BC shouldn't be?

Separately, I've wondered if this is an explanation for the recent perception that elites sometimes mysteriously get a blocked adjacent seat (thread), since the flight status retains the block even after departure even if anyone checked in can select.
