Was supposed to be x2 but my Platinum wife was number 2 on the upgrade list at the gate. Her upgrade did not clear. Number 1 on the list also did not clear
For the return, my wife did not want to play the upgrade lottery at the gate so she took the offered TOD at check-in. Then something weird happened.

Didn't I call it weird? Yes, that's exactly was happened. We don't know exactly when the upgrade to First happened because we did the check-in using the WiFi of a Starbucks for 5 minutes and then went for dinner. It's only when we got back to our hotel four hours later that we saw it. And not only that, but an agent was waiting in ORD with a boarding pass from the plane that we had just deplaned to make sure that she knew to go to the Polaris Lounge.

Yes - my first time in a real Polaris cabin. I also found a bug in the United app. I checked in before I received the upgrade and now the boarding pass on the app won't refresh to show the new seat assignment. Have to do it by paper tomorrow. Not going to complain about that....

Have you tried closing the App and reopening it?
