Looks like there was a 787-10 that flew back to CHS yesterday and one scheduled for this morning. The 787 supply chain is incredibly complex and delicate so I think the Boeing managers decided there will less blowback if everything is completed in CHS.

Some of them are new. Obviously the ones that were with AA previously would be new to UA. United really needs to either order a new small narrow body (A220/E195), or come to some type of agreement with the pilot group for more A319s/737s instead of the small narrow body in order to reduce this CRJ200 flying. Time will tell how this works out.

Agreed...

UA had a great opportunity to add a ton of 737-700's at a steep discount, but they tossed the order and went all-in with 73X .... followed by LOTS more CRJ-200's hitting the fleet. Ugh.

The scope clause does not limit A319 or 737 fleet growth. New A220s or E195s would have to be flown by mainline pilots which is currently cost prohibitive.

UA went all-in with the 737 MAX because they realized the total acquisition cost for used A319s was cheaper than new 73Gs. The CRJs were the lowest cost/quickest way to meet Kirby's capacity growth / re-banking strategy. I think Kirby envisions these CRJs will be replaced with larger aircraft once this strategy reaches critical mass.

I wish they would run some of those additional A319's on some of the routes I fly often that once had ERJ-175's ... like DEN-FAT/BFL ... those are just CRJ-200's now... always full or oversold... always delayed... always expensive... and ALWAYS uncomfortable.

Moving to Orlando soon, so I will be free of UA's regional jets for now.

That would be the new "Iron Fist" logo - "You're going to like flying this aircraft or the beatings will continue."

Is it just me or has it been a long time since we had another 772 pop out with Polaris?

The beatings, of course, consist of more CRJs.

Going to be flying ORD-AVL in a CRJ2 next month...first one since SBA-LAX, which is really about the only acceptable length to fly in that cramped dump.

772:
N76021 sked to exit HKG 180/24Sep, maint only
N77022 now enroute HKG 179/22Sep for maint only.

77W: Reported N2135U entered SFO 949/15Sep for PE Installation

Polaris Tracker is a bit behind:
763: 11 of 35 Complete, 2 of 24 remaining in Mod (Note that 7 of the 24 are 1992/1993 2 class units will not get Polaris prior to being retired. And note only 1 ITPE unit still flying revenue.)
772: 5 of 33 sUA 772s Complete, 4 of 28 remaining in Mod. (possibly on 3 in Mod, 4th HKG unit may be a C Check)
764: 0 of 16 complete and 0 in Mod.
These are correct
773 all complete when delivered, #16 due in 4th Quarter
787s all have sCO style seats and will get Polaris after the 772 fleet.
