United has reconfigured its 757-300 planes to increase density, primarily by adding non E+ seats (1 fewer E+ seats, 22 more E seats).

New Configuration
Boeing 757-300 (753)
24F 54E+ 156E

Post 165 assesses Seats 7DE (and 8ABC) (summary - watch out)
The armrest between 23 B/C and D/E is movable.
The inboard armrest on 23A & F is fixed and contains the tray table.

Specifically 1AB on the 753, yes.

There is a massive cutout in the bulkhead underneath the closet; perhaps 2 feet on each side (and deep). It is approved for stowage and also makes for effectively infinite legroom. There isn't that much variation in domestic F seats, but you get all of the legroom and stowage of a normal seat and all of the easy-out and no seat in your face of a bulkhead.

I probably would have preferred the old seats on the 77H, but the 753 is the best of what's left. Some seats on the CR5 might come close, except you're still on a regional jet.

Which Deplaning Door at SFO?

Were flying HNL-SFO on a 753 with a very tight 40 minute connection to an international flight. Does UA typically use door 2L or 1L at SFO? Trying to decide if we should sit in row 6 or row 1.

757s at SFO are almost always at 2L.

I haven't flown UA in a while, can someone explain the advantage of seats 1AB on the 753. Seatguru's review are less than stellar.

There's a cutout, so you get underseat storage / foot space, and as it's the bulkhead obviously no one reclining.

Seatguru is not a reliable source in many regards.

The seatmap I was provided for my SFO-HNL flight is showing no middle seat (19E), it seems slightly different from the official seatmaps? We'll probably be able to do E+ seating upon checkin given the ample seating availability but was just curious whether this was the norm.

Just a display glitch, it happens occasionally.

IME it can sometimes be an out of service seat. This happened recently when I flew with colleagues to Orlando. They had an empty seat next to them, with do not occupy tape on it, after the seatmap showed no seat present.

Great to hear 1A/B still have the cutout at their feet, came here to ask about it since Seatguru showed as yellow. Booked 1A on a 753 flight in a month. 1A on the 753 and 4A on the CRJ500 are the best seats in the fleet outside the lie flats.

Will seat 8A have a window next to it or no window? There are exit row bulkhead seats that don't have windows and then there's seats like row 17 on UA's domestic 777s that do have a window so wasn't sure what's the config on this one. Thanks

Aerolopa (https://www.aerolopa.com/ua-boeing-753) shows a window next to 8A.
