No, just wear an eyemask. If the IFE offered porn, then I believe a privacy mask would be warranted.

I don't really care about content, but do find the brightness/flashing a little annoying..

Yeah, I do that too.

Something else I've noticed, especially in Y, since I'm a aisle person, the gap between the seats in front of me, generally provide a direct path view to most of the screen of the middle seat. The only time I find it really distracting is when we watch the same movie, but say 2-3 minutes off. I don't think any kind of privacy filter would block that path.

I have indeed watched many movies in the window reflection of the row in front of me. I'm not really sure if there's a great answer to that - I don't think you can reasonably screen it so that you won't be distracted. Some of the lie-flat J seats I've seen have some sort of polarization filter, which is nice.

How about removing all AVOD and replacing with PDE instead??

FWIW - privacy screens won't solve the issue.

I would actually say yes. Was on a AA LAX-HKG flight last week and after landing and during the process of deplaning a seat a few rows up from me was playing a very long sex scene. While personally I could care less, I would be pretty upset as a parent if my son was standing in the aisle waiting to deplane with this playing on. Personally let people watch what they want, but when you have pretty graphic content for all observers to see put a filter on it.

I think it's all about you want to look or ignore it. The screens at the back of seats are designed in the most convenient way for all travelers. You can put your headphones on and forcus only on your screen. Why does it so hard ?

This. The only way to block it from all likely angles is to block it completely.....

Human blinders will help you focus on your own screen.

Public transport, deal with it.

Please, no! I don't (or intend to) own a tablet and don't care to watch video on my phone screen.

Most parents seem oblivious to what their kids are doing online - I'm fairly certain whatever was playing on that screen was probably small potatoes to just about any modern kid with Internet access.

I would like it as a viewer. I find it uncomfortable to watch shows like game of thrones becos kids / spoliers / sensitive souls. Yes I care too much about other ppl.
