I wish we'd see MNL, BKK, or even KUL for Asia. I'd love PRG, BUD, and VIE open for Europe. New destinations!

Given that UA already flies SFO-CDG, how is French/EU law regarding cabotage?

Um... I don't think you understand what cabotage is.... SFO-PPT wouldn't be cabotage in any instance.

How about IAD-ICN? This will compete directly against Korean Air.

I lived on GUM. I know cabotage, US version, w.r.t. Asian carriers.
I live near LAX. Two French carriers fly people CDG-PPT. That's why I want to know whether UA can do it.

Which one of those is the international destination airport?

SFO-FNJ

Well the chances are close to zero, but I'm crossing my fingers for SFO-BLR.

Shorter than LAX-SIN (by great circle) so possible. But I doubt UA would be teasing people on Twitter for a hi-tech business route.

mahasamatman Dec 12, 2017 7:21 pm

SFO-OAK

shorter, but more a technically more challenging route because of the himalayas. i do agree that the route is a winner with capable equipment (according to wikipedia, AI only has three B77L - which are tied to DEL-SFO).
