IK qualified months ago and am sitting at over 120K right now.
Offer is Book and take a trip in United Economy 3 times by January 12, 2018 to get 8,300 bonus awards miles. Each trip must be a minimum of $200.
No thanks! Pretty lame offer for someone who has clearly spent a lot of money this year and isn't looking for miles this year. Plus, I've already booked trips for the early part of next year.

One data point that may be useful is that I no longer earn my 1K status by virtue of flying--it's comp'd by work. I'll only actually fly about 50k PQM this year. For these targeted offers, I tend to get very generous offers, and I suspect it's because a 1K with 50k of PQM projected by the end of December signals as someone they want to try to win back.

I got “Book and take a trip in a premium cabin 1 time by January 12, 2018 to get 17,000 bonus award miles” ($450 min fare).
Says:
All travel for Trip must be in Business or First class (fare classes: A, C, D, F, J, P and Z).
What about a segment which includes an Econ-only bird? There’s an IAD->BTV flight I could book but it transits via EWR and the first half is an ERJ 145 with no premium cabin. Do we think that counts or no?

That's an interesting perspective! Training data is hugely important to seeding machine learning, so perhaps this is nothing more than an exercise in collecting it? Very insightful, and possibly even actually the case...
