Was just in the process of posting this same thing but it has to be a mistake. The CRJ-200 has a max range of 1,345 nm, this route is 1,503 nm.

Appears it was an error, the UA press release has been updated to shown ORD-FAT as E175.

Will update the wiki

Excellent! This is great news for those needing to travel to/from the San Joaquin Valley. Especially east of the Mississippi.

Indeed, today's operational disaster at SFO speak volumes. Dozens of West Coast flights to/from delayed up to 3+ hours! Not to mention the missed overseas connections - on top of the busiest holiday travel time.

New non-stop pair to JAX from DEN

I don't recall ever seeing DEN-JAX non-stop flights on UA. UA would fly to FLL and TPA from DEN; but not JAX.

They seem to have added one flight (#5373) on Skywest (945A-319P) on a 175 that then turns around in JAX and returns to DEN -- #5402 at 355P.

Too bad it's UAX and not mainline UA.... that's a long flight for a 175..... WN does a once a day non-stop between DEN-JAX, obviously on a 737...

A flight of this length on a 175 is a good thing, not bad. 175's have become one of my favorite aircraft.

175s rock. I went to JAX 18 months ago and for the life of me I can't remember if it was direct or I went through houston.

same here. enjoy not having a middle seat and the larger F cabin allows for a greater chance at upgrades.

If it was on UA, it wasn't nonstop. The DEN-JAX service launches in April: Several new domestic UX routes (from LAX, ORD, DEN)

I am recalling c2011-2012 that UA flew DEN-JAX, it was on a CRJ700. I was going SFO- JAX/TPA/MCO a lot, and the crappy service and delays became a major issue after 2/2012, it was when I first tried Delta, and the start of my exit from the "changes you will like" United. This said, my memory may be incorrect, but I recall United trying to always force me into a IAH connection with the erj-145. I think they pulled down the DEN-JAX and tried to force people to connect in IAH.

Not as a regular scheduled service. They have a few charters from time to time, but never more than 2 flights a month.

This is great news for me. I have a project that we have been considering in St. Augustine, which I was not wild about making an aggressive pitch towards because of the connections needed. A direct to JAX solves that in a minute.

In September 2017 UAL announced daily non-stop service LAX-ASE.

The non-stop service has been removed from the schedule from April 9, 2018 (presumably returning in June 2018 when the summer season begins)

United Non-stop ORD>ILM

Wondering if there is information on the starting date for United’s new route non-stop ORD>ILM? Initially in ILM newspaper as "early 2018".
