Commemorative 747 Amenity Kits launching Oct. 23

Similar to the Olympic kits from years past, but a slicker design, IMO. Will be in all Polaris and EWR-LAX/SFO, SFO-BOS premium cabins.

Trading cards and 747-branded socks to be included as well.

https://www.bizjournals.com/chicago/...oeing-747.html

Edit to add: I see this was already noted in the 747 thread, but since these kits will be deployed systemwide, I think it's still thread-worthy.

Too bad they didn't have these amenity kits to celebrate when they were actually flying more of the 747 aircraft.

They look cool.
I hope they're better well aligned than those tins! And my bag is starting to cry because it knows that I will need much space to ferry these around

I was looking forward to the squishy b/w ones that are out now . . PLEASE tell me the oval tall ones are first class? Because they will take up entirely too much room and I think I can find some future purpose for the flat one. Postcards are cool, though! Hope someone posts some pix next week . . (hint hint).

PS. I bought a Polaris bear from eBay. There were some very cool photos of various bears on their travels and I could not resist. It's very cute!

OH DEAR - Oval it is . .

"Passengers in the United Polaris business-class cabin will receive a blue oval 747 amenity kit, while passengers in the United Polaris first-class cabin will receive a silver oval kit. Those traveling in business class on the carrier’s Premium Transcon routes receive a square tin kit."

Good to know. The 747 remains my favorite aircraft to fly and I am still sad that I never got to experience the upper deck.

For how long will they have the cards? I'm due to fly to Asia in mid-November and back at the end of November. I managed to fly many times on the upper deck on both BA and United in 2015 and 2016.

Nice sentiment, but I hate tins. I wish they would go back to the old BF faux-leather pouches.

+1. I kind of want one, but I'm sure I won't like having it.

Any known end date to these? Oct. 23 ??

Flying on the 28th. Looking forward to these hopefully. Maybe the SO won't scold me for collecting more amenity kits this time!
