Please no "nothing yet" posts (at least until we get to mid-January (15 Jan 2017 is be more specific) when that mean there is an issue.

I went years without needing the card, until earlier this year when it was needed at MUC to access the lounge.

It is not consistent.

Received my Gold status mailing. I have one more trip so expect Plat. mailing in next couple months. I don’t really care as long as my actual status is online.

I can’t speak for ZRH but I go through FRA weekly and have never needed any more than my BP and on very rare occasions the app card. MUC is the same but my experience there is about 50% of FRA. Ymmv

i qualified for gold for the first time in early October and received my gold kit in Switzerland in mid-Nov..

I got my Gold kit yesterday...no physical card....no luggage tag...but they did include the luggage tag transparent "plastic" string that you're supposed to use with it. (I haven't used my Premier card ever....so don't see the point in them wasting so much paper to send you practically nothing of use)

I just got my Gold kit...earliest I've gotten it while here in Switzerland, since I moved two years ago. But it is a shame because I'm getting Plat this year, I guess because it wasn't booked through AC they didn't know. Only one bag tag and no physical card.

Has Plat been getting a physical card this year?

Received three kits this year

Went into 2017 as Gold.

Qualified for 2018 Silver in April 2017
Re-qualified for 2018 Gold in July 2017
Qualified for 2018 Platinum in July 2017 (received a Platinum kit in September)
Qualified for 2018 1K in October 2017 (received one 1K kit in November and another one in December)

The two 1K kits were slightly different. The November kit contained a mini travel book while the December kit contained four rather nice drink coasters (featuring drawings of BOS, LAX, NYC, and SFO). Both kits contained the usual drink coupons, ID card, and baggage tags. Not sure why I received two 1K kits as the ID card in the November kit said it was valid until January 31, 2019.
