UA Starting Weekend Service SFO<>EGE this Winter

Didn't see this discussed anywhere else but was really excited to see SFO finally get a non-stop to Vail! Sat/Sun only service isn't ideal but it's a start. One interesting thing though is that literally I can't find a single date where the ticket from EGE-SFO (one-way) is <$800. Expert mode on united.com shows they've basically zeroed out all the cheaper fare classes. Any insights into if this is normal practice for a resort destination like EGE? When (if ever) will they open up some cheaper fare classes?

I bought a connection via DEN and am hoping to SDC to the non-stop, saved me $500!

ITA Matrix can find round-trips on the non-stop sat $577 in January.
