12:35 p.m. - 1:35 p.m.

Excellent news re: EWR-KEF. Wish they would have some frequency in the winter for the Northern Lights, but imagine that's a tough route given WOW! and Icelandair on the route.

Glad to see Transatlantic adds, notably two new UA destinations (KEF, OPO) as it was beginning to look like the bulk of secondary pmCO 757 markets such as OSL/BFS/BRS/CPH/CGN were falling by the wayside. I get that there is more to it (A++, BREXIT, etc), but with the additional 763s that came online during the merger, I expected more secondary adds rather than market exits.

LX does very well with SFO-ZRH (known as the "Roche coach").
Maybe UA will pull some of the corporate business on this route, but spending my own money I'd have a hard time picking the UA 788 over LX's 77W, at least in J. (And I don't even like LX.)

Doesn't LH or one of it's affiliates also serve KEF in the summers? If so, I wonder if it would be possible to book through travel to continental Europe via KEF, sort of replicating FI's routing options? That would be an attractive option, at least in the westbound direction.
