I'm going!
Luckily I have a friend that works at United that managed to get 4 wristbands and invited me.
So I'll be flying all the way from Norway to attend. Flying LHR-SFO-LHR on the 747 too. Just too bad the upgrades wont go through. Not that they do anyways anymore.
Oh well...hope the weather will be great!

I'm going too thanks to a forum members generosity. I'll miss doing the FT plane pull though since there was no general invite.

IIRC there is a sign up sheet onsite so it still may be possible if everyone coordinates in the Wiki and then signs up when there.

I’ve been fortunate enough to secure a wristband for the events! Does anyone know the times/schedule for Sunday’s festivities?

Doors open at 11am and the official event kicks off around 11:30am

Official end time should be 4pm according to the flyer I saw.

After seeing the 20,000 people number thrown out there, I’ve decided to arrive earlier than that! Can’t wait for a great Sunday!

Met Oscar 2 years ago at family day, less than a month before his heart attack if I recall (that hit me like a ton of bricks to the chest). Everyone loved him then, so I can’t wait for the reception he gets tomlrrrow.

Does anyone know where to find the link?

Thanks to @sf4dfish I'll be going!

Anyone have the address of where I need to go? I don't have a parking permit so I suppose I'll Lyft/Uber over.

Is it just the Tech Ops building?

You can also park in the long term lot and walk over from there.

if you want to drive, just park in the long term lot on the north side of the airport and then walk over. That's what I did last year, and it's an easy 5-10 minute walk.

Fyi it's supposed to be hot all weekend, so shorts and sunblock would be the way to go. I was at the marina green today for fleet week and it was too warm for jeans IMHO.

This is good advice. The last time I went to a United Family Day, afterwards I realized I had gotten a mild sunburn.

You're pretty much standing around on a tarmac all afternoon during the peak UV-radiation hours -- but it was still a surprise to get a sunburn, not something that usually happens when I'm spending time at SFO!. In retrospect I would at least have worn a hat.
