ORD-SFO 737 vs 757?

I haven't flown this route in a while. Looks like they alternate back and forth between a 757-300 and a 737-900. Anyone that frequents this route know which plane (or flight #) has the newer seats? I'm looking to avoided the direct-tv seats. Would like to be able to use wifi and personal device entertainment. Not a fan of the direct tv. Do any of these planes have the newer seats, tray tables, and power outlets?

Best chance is with the 739, I believe all 753s have DirecTV

Not all just A/C 851-859 have DirecTV. A/C 860-871 have PDE.

If you're referring to the new F seat in the 319/20, no.

Some of the 739s have a newer version of the same old sCO seat.

I would take the 753 every time, for the left turn on boarding and the quieter ride.

+1. The 753 is superior in pretty much every way.

Unless it's a standard at ORD? I was on a 753 not too long ago out of EWR and boarding was from the front.

Wasn't a fan of the UA 737's last few trips, even with economy plus seats it felt cramped and uncomfortable, the 757 was a much nicer ride

I book the 753 specifically for the equipment. I feel the seats are more comfortable and the headrest is better for sleeping.

The 737s is a hit and miss everytime from booking to actual aircraft. You'll never know till its boarding time which version you'll get.

That is kind of what I thought. But being ORD-SFO, I thought there maybe was a more established pattern. 753 seems to be the more comfortable ride from what I am seeing here.

Yes 753 is really good, and specially if you got the non DirecTV one with actual IFE. Not sure if they still exist as its been over a year since Ive been in one.

Yes. Just one from what I saw. Looks to be a flight in the earlier part of the day.
