For a purely domestic flight? Does ua sell F? I thought I read for people buying "first" and getting put into the business section.

Yes, if a 3-cabin aircraft is loaded as such into the schedule, UA will sell all three cabins. Purchase an A or F fare to sit in the pointy end.

If it's an equipment swap, it's a huge mess.

That grey is so drab looking. I like the prior ones.

"battleship gray" was the nickname -- looked particularly bad when there was some paint peeling

Maybe i'm weird but I really like the grey, but didn't like the previous tulip livery that everyone seems to love. Hahaha

Same here, I thought the former grey livery was very elegant.

Thought I'd throw in some pictures from my recent 747s to and from China:

And of course, the view I think we'll all miss the most:

Over the years, the battleship gray livery has been widely debated amongst UA followers.

I like it. It is unique and daring at the time of introduction back in 1993. It is so different than most of the airlines' white based livery out there. It stands out at the airport around the world.

The current UA livery is the PMCO livery that was first introduced in 1991. Two years before the battle ship gray livery.

The grey reminds me of a military transport.

Super cool, thanks.

I see the 2-4-2 business class has a historic precedent
