TSA Pre @ IAH Terminal E Hours?
 

Anyone been through Terminal E at around 09:00 and can comment if the TSA Pre line is open? I know that the hours in E are variable and I'd rather go in through E than C and then have to shelp my way over to my E Gate.

Terminal E security is open daily from 0400-0000 and precheck is always offered during the twenty hours of operation.
there's international departures out of e until 2359 each night so they stay open to accommodate. You'll have no issues.

Precheck is almost never open in E when I fly out, which is typically in the afternoon or early evening. All I get is the "here take this card and give it to the guy ahead" treatment. But maybe it's improved dramatically in the last six months.

Passed through E twice a couple of weeks ago en route two and from GIG. Both times, at 4pm and 5am Pre was available at the departure floor area security point.

Good to see that for arriving connecting pax into E, signage for TSA pre check to go back through security now diverts you from the usual "transit" security point, upstairs on the right behind the bag recheck. You are now encouraged to use the departures area security checkpoint, leaving through the arrivals hall, using the escalator far left to go up to the check in desks area.

Yeah, noticed that signage when I arrived at IAH from FRA recently. Of course I knew to do that anyway from reading it on FT.

I go through here a lot on Sunday evenings and Pre-Check is always closed. I get Pre-Check Lite.

When I would go through there in afternoon/evening, was usually no Precheck and I'd use the underground Disney train to go to C. Now I use GS reception in C only, so haven't experienced for a while. Not too helpful, but Precheck in E was spotty at best up to a few months ago.

Pre Check was active at 9ish this morning as I went through. Asked again if hours of Pre-Check will ever be posted online. Got a non-answer that Pre-Check is dynamically staffed in E and as such there are no fixed hours.

I've found that its generally not been open, which means Pre-Check Lite, in the mid-morning into the afternoon. They seem to open again in the later afternoon for the bank of East/South Bound long hauls.
