Unused RPUs will be returned if you do SDC. Some agent will/know how to reapply, others don't. Using the app there is no option.

What about and RPU not clearing on the longer segment of a two flight leg. Ex. Clears SAT-IAH but not IAH-FLL?

cheers

A RPU is considered consumed if clears any segment regardless of how short. Best to apply RPU to only the longer segment initially (requires a call). Once the longer segment clears, then call again and request it be extended to the shorter segment.

What time is the EWR-LAX leg? Quite impressive clearing it on a weekday!

especially that far in advanced. I'm biting my nails looking toward this weekend even though I'm waitlisted on a 28J with many seats still for sale lol.

Departs at 21:00, arrives at 00:21 next day, probably the last flight on that day.

This may be answered someplace but have been unable to find. Is there a relatively simple way to find available RPU space on flights without looking at each individual flight. Thanks

Sort of, and it reaaly on works for non-stops. Go to advance search and select " Upgrade type " -- select any, as RPU, and then search as normal. This method has some issue, such as don't select fare class or use an ETC, but it is a poor man's way of find R space. Once you find (if you do) R space, then do a more conventional search and selected the flight you found earlier.

Also, if you use Chrome, see Browser extensions/scripts for United.com

Agent cleared you into R under T-2? Unusual to find one willing to do that these days.

Indeed. About a week after I booked, I saw R space on the return and tried to get a Premier agent to push the UG. She wouldn't.
