Exactly. Once the door is closed, a passenger is a passenger.

I've seen those kits get snatched up by deplaning pax.

How about just not allow any non-rev's on the plane at all, there's a cost cutter

It's amazing how much ire employee benefits on airlines stoke in others.
I've never walked through Whole Foods and thought "Wow I bet it would make more sense if the workers here could only buy food with their 20% discount on the expiration date."

Similarly when I worked for Saks' corporate offices we got a 30% discount more or less. I could walk across the street to the 5th Avenue store and buy anything on the rack. Maybe it would have made more sense for the margins to restrict it to only damaged items that were returned or going to be sent back?

to clarify this is not a personal observation ( i used to work for the airlines so loved my pass privileges) but more knowing that UA constantly
cuts J/F product whether this was happening

I have no skin in the game but was just curious about this

Is it a new UA forum tradition to have a non-rev bashing thread every week?

Who cares.

The recent non-rev hating on this forum is pretty sad.

We do except that we get the last choice of meals, etc.

Probably closer to 30 years by now. I was thinking it was two or three olives per salad, though.

Excellent idea ^^^^^

There are still airlines that do not put non-revs in premium cabins on a standby basis and only cater enough meals matching the number of ticketed passengers

People are entitled to their own opinions. I take it you have never had extremely unpleasant UA non-revs sitting near you in F as they share explicit sexual pictures and engage in other equally unprofessional behavior. It's almost like UA wants to win an award for having the most obnoxious non-revs.

+1. Give them the kit while the F cabin still lasts. Once most of the F cabin is wiped out they can only dream of getting the amenity kit at the back of the bus.

UA-DL & AA operate under the theory that their people are First Class employees. If there are available F/C seats (that nobody purchased) these F/C folks sit in them, and primarily ONLY on international flights. Domestics usually never happen for sitting up front, as usually after standing-by they only get back-o-the-bus seats.

I have never seen a non-rev get an international F/C seat that someone is willing to pay to occupy.

This subject that keeps reoccurring is pure & simple "Jealousy".

ALL of my nearly 3MM's have been on my own dime, and the last thing that I need to do on every flight is to freak over who boarded before me, or who is sitting where!

Is it really that difficult to just --- MYOB?
