London Polaris on sale?

Just booked September OGG-LHR r.t. $2685 all-in (includes onerous UK front-cabin departure tax) lie-flat all the way. Same fare from LAX,SMF, $1100 more from SFO. Didn't check others, but assume main hubs get the shaft. Mid-week travel summer and into Fall. Best to CDG is an occasional $4100.

Airline pricing  I transit SFO both ways, ride a (currently scheduled) 752 both ways between OGG and SFO, and pay $1100 less for a r.t to LHR than a S.F. originator does.

Similar price (~$2550) from SAN for my July trip to Italy. Have to find another connection to get to my destination, but $1000 saving is worth the trouble.

So fly SFO-OGG-SFO-LHR :D

Thanks IAH-OIL-TRASH!
SLC-ORD-LHR-SFO-SLC early September booked at $2416 all-in! Glad I checked FT today!

Added bonus - Upper Deck 747 which I wasn't planning on again in 2017!

Well, I do originate OGG. Just saying captive hubbers travelling on their own dime have to be annoyed w/ UA at times relative to pricing.

I think it's just a sale. I could only get this $780 price out on the return leg of $2,401 outbound leg so $3,181 total. Cheapest round trip LAX-LHR I could find is around $2,500 connecting through EWR.

it's a regular sale. Has been all over the premium fare forum ... Enjoy while it lasts :)

Well done everyone. I got PDX-SFO-LHR round trip (5/24 through 6/5) for $2509 back in March. Probably my last 747, so a great price and rear facing UD both ways.

It's been a good season for Europe. Booked an SFO-ZRH-FRA-MAN (23h20 in ZRH) / MAN-FRA-SEA-SFO earlier on the MAN sale (sacrificing routing a bit for getting to travel on peak days of the week).

As others have reported, it appears to be more than just London. Been trying to book a business class fare from IAH to Geneva (leaving end of June). Looking constantly for the past two months, the cheapest I've seen departing anywhere from this part of Texas was on Turkish, at almost $4000RT.

Then when I checked this afternoon, I found P-class tickets from Austin to Geneva going for $2570.

And there was the *fare sale last week out of MIL etc for as low as $ 1570 business r/t.

IAH-OIL-TRASH May 19, 2017 7:30 pm

Looks like UA just increased the fares by 15% or so.

Wow - R9, LIS-EWR. But why use an instrument/mileage upgrade at that price?

Ah, the captive hubbers. I was booking SFO-DFW in the back in late September. UA is our preferred airline and wanted $1200 with 2 stops each way while AA was $286 direct. Our captive TA told me that there were plenty of seats but only in high-fare buckets.
