She doesn't look exactly emaciated to me.

I would take that middle seat!
wait ... is that photo an actual United Airlines 787 with real Economy Plus seats? Or was it shot inside a studio?

I'll just leave this here. A little snippet from the British sitcom Come Fly With Me. Around :50 is where it gets relevant...

Geez that's insane... I'm a guy 5'9" 145 lbs (66 kg), and I thought I was pretty average.

Spatial analysis given the headrest is extended indicates that she is 5'2" and probably 105 lbs based on size of seat depression.

aren't most models and actors short and thin people? I have sat next to many in my lifetime, and I was surprised at how small they were -- they say camera adds 10 pounds, but I say the camera adds 10 pounds and 5 inches.

I think while most of them are 'thin', quite a few are quite tall. I don't know why we are arguing here as it is pretty obvious - and standard marketing practice - that UA is trying to use all tricks in the book here to make their economy look spacious.

no wondering my most recent portrait looked funny.

I noticed the photographer had 3 cameras in the studio. All 3 were aimed at me. 3 x 10 = 30.

I'm almost 5'5" and I am too short to use UA head rests always, so something about this is inaccurate.

Is this a new cabin interior with slimlines on the Dreamliner? The ones I've flown on (787-9) had the CO style checkerboard cloth seat covers.

This is just plan old marketing. United does a good job at marketing and we complain. Heh.

I'm 5'6" and my biggest issue is that I'm too short to really use the headrests, so she doesn't look particularly short to me.
