MileagePlus Dining - Q&A, bonus, experiences, ....
Hey guys,
Just a heads up I got an email from MP Dining Rewards today, offering a 10,000 bonus on 10x dines over $40 each from now until August. For someone living in NYC this is great.. I always offer to put dining on my card and take cash.
FYI, you must register for the offer. I see it in my account also

I think it's variable. My offer is only 2,500 miles for 5x$40 dines--probably because I use MPDining a lot anyway and hardly need to be encouraged.
But sign in to your account and click "Bonuses" at the top and see what's there.

I also use it a lot (I'm gold). But not so much this month.. maybe they're desperate. Quite the offer though. Although I'd almost rather have X for 5x dines, because 10 requires effort. 5 can kinda just.. happen..

10k after 10 dines for me. I'm a MP Dining "VIP" (as one of the places across the street from my office participates), so I was surprised to get a "good" offer--though the 10x in 6 weeks is a bit of a challenge.

Interesting; I'm tempted to try. There's a steakhouse that I frequent near my office that I'm sure I'd eventually run through $400 worth.

It does, 100% sure. Buy 10 x $40 cards. Make sure you'll use them all before they expire (in many states gift cards never expire). Last time they had a bonus promo I did it, but 3 of my favorite restaurants which used to participate no longer do, so I can't even find a restaurant here locally that I'd want to do it for. And if I'm going to spend $400 for 10,000 miles, I might as well buy a ticket with the $400, lol!

I got the 10K for 10 dines email today.
I usually do not go out of my way for MileagePlus dining, but for 10k I can squeeze in some extra sushi and beer over the next six weeks.
Does the $40 total include tip and tax?

I got the 10k for 10 dines. I was excited until I saw the $40 min per dine which isn't going to be easy for me. I'm single and don't eat out too often, especially since the places I go often don't participate.
Edit: just searched and saw that a sandwich place by my office participates (that's like jimmy johns). I wonder if I could buy a $11 meal + a $30 gift card and have that count? I'd be eating sandwiches for months, but at least that feels less stupid than going out for $40 meals just to get the miles.
