Scorpion stings passenger on UA flight

https://thepointsguy.com/2017/04/sco...man-on-united/

I wonder once it was on his plate why he picked it up again?

"United Airlines said that it’s looking into the incident, but Bell hopes to get some compensation for his encounter."

Why am I not surprised...

Here's what not to do with a scorpion on a plane:
When a neighboring passenger told Bell that the scorpion was potentially dangerous, he dropped it on his plate. But when he picked it back up again, the scorpion stung him on the hand, which he described as feeling like a wasp sting. From there, Bell tossed the scorpion on the floor and passengers stepped on it before tossing it in the lavatory.
Then there's this:

an on-board nurse gave Bell Demerol, a painkiller, as a precaution. And when the plane landed, EMS boarded the flight but Bell showed no sign of distress and declined medical attention.
I'll bet he was showing no sign of distress.

SUE THE SCORPION! Get Oscar to make a statement - saying the person bit was belligerent :D

So they flushed it down the toilet? Yet another passenger forcibly ejected. :)

LOL

At least they "probably" killed it before throwing it in the lav. That would be a nasty surprise.

Planes carry demerol? An interesting choice...

I was surprised to hear that too. That could have saved a call to the cops on sunday :p

I'd be screaming like Chris Tucker and would LOSE. MY. MIND!

I'd rather sit next to Freddy Kurger on a CRJ200 than see a scorpion on a plane.

ACVBear Apr 13, 2017 11:47 am

oh jesus. now THAT is going to make me uncomfortable on my next few flights...

"No thanks, I'm fine on the drink, but can you get me some of that Demerol?"

A couple of years back, I went on a date to the cinemas (in London) and we decided to see "Rush Hour 3" (starring Chris Tucker). Midway into the movie, the British girl 5 rows in front of us started screaming hysterical
"THERE'S A {redacted} MOUSE IN THE {redacted} THEATER!"

Still makes me laugh to this day. I would however freak out if there would be a snake. Can't stand them. (Which is why this news freaked out me).
