That's great. No more getting woken up in the middle of a TPAC or TATL flight from the Duty Free announcements.

And, that means more storage space in the galleys for other things, BoB perhaps?

They will have more time to gossip in the galley or play on their tablet or phone.

Some foreign airlines seem to go all out for it but I guess this is just too little profit for too much work for UA. Maybe they can carry an extra cartful of food to feed us

Did United roll the carts through the aisle with the Duty Free items? I didn't see or hear announcements for Duty Free on our way down to Peru last September.

The poll needs a third option - "Have never purchased duty free items on any flight on any airline at any time".

Maybe they will be able to stock more gel pillows and pads. Go from 60 percent to at least 65 percent.

My guess is that the time will be used to push credit card sign ups

Oh gosh, I hope not!
Is there -or would there be- ANYONE who actually signs up for a credit card based on someone standing at an airport or in a plane offering this???

Not surprised with this no one really uses it anymore.
I actually enjoy selling duty free, but sales have declined over the years -- decades. At one time is was not uncommon to sell $4000.00 on a YYZ-LAS B747 flight. Record was $10,300.00 YYZ-ICN on the A340.

Especially when half the flight can't even qualify due to residency.
