And I meant a large majority of GS earn GS by flying international -- not domestic. This is a general statement and nothing to do with IAH.
And what's your support for all these claims?

GS don't do UA's highly profitable LATAM routes? GS fly more intl than dom?

Completely relevant. If lots of GS's are from corp contracts, then the assertion that GS's must be doing international travel to make GS isn't valid.

Except for NRT, AMS, LHR, FRA, MUC
But not AKL, SYD, HKG, CTU, TPE, HGH, PVG, PEK, ICN, KIX, HND, CDG, MEL, BRU, LIS, MAD, BCN, FCO, SNN, DUB, BFS, GLA, EDI, MAN, BHX, HAM, TXL, ZRH, GVA, MXP, TLV, DEL, BOM...

I think you see where I'm going there....

SFO GS reception area is in the domestic terminal and thats works ok. I still check in there and make a short walk over to the international terminal for those flights. works fine. I would guess there are a lot of SFO based GS's that are heavy international travel too.

The IAH based flyers who are going to all of those cities will be starting in Terminal C rather than E. Perhaps the new GS reception at Terminal C for the International flyers who are connecting at a domestic airport.

All the GS's that I know in Houston have earned it the hard way, none are corporate gifts. Most fly a mixture of International and domestic, as did I the two years that I earned GS.

Can someone explain how that makes sense for GS flyers?

I know GS flyers fly domestic but a large majority are international flyers....

Terminal C is connected to D and E airside, both by walkways and the train thingy. GS might be shipped by electric buggy/ termac car anyway if their flight is from E, no?

Its pretty easy to walk to E when checking in at C. I avoid E checkin due to the precheck unreliability.

Does the new C check-in have one of those cut through doors into Pre-Check like at SFO?

United has long been optimized for short, intra-Texas routes like IAH-AUS. It makes sense to put the GS lobby in the domestic terminal.

Does anyone know what the hours of operation are for the GS lobby at IAH?

Terminal C behind the Premier check in. If departing any other terminal I would skip the GS lobby unless you really need an agent’s help.

Terminal C, hidden behind the premier check-in area (north side) of Terminal C.
