747 specific sign the safety card game

With the pending retirement of the 747, I'm proposing that FRers who fly this bird sign the safety card. Nothing big, as the card is important. Rather, your FT handle and a month/date in small print.

Is signing the safety card a good idea as perhaps it would a) detract from the content of the safety card and b) if an employee who has to ensure that the cards are in all seat back pockets notices it, they might remove it for the reason I just mentioned

Sign the tray table instead.

Defacing the safety literature seems like a bad idea.

While it’s a good idea in prospect, considering the card in “essential for safety” in might not be a good idea in action.

Maybe sign the cover of the Hemispheres Magazine? Not nearly as fun or unique to the 747, but at least that’s something that it’s 100% ok to sign.

Like I said, sign a part of the aircraft that will stay and has nothing to do with safety, like the inside of the lavatory or your tray table. What is UA going to do? Nothing.

I agree though, I'd leave the safety card alone.

Hopefully press charges for vandalism, bill you for the damages and ban you from future travel.

Every time I think that FlyerTalk has hit a new low in idiotic ideas, {something} comes along and surprises me.

^^^ Agreed - who in their right mind would ever suggest defacing private property with their signature???

It was an idea, not something I would do. Don't you agree it's better though than defacing safety literature?

In my opinion, they're equally bad ideas.

So why did you suggest it twice?

No. Both are terrible ideas.

Not sure why propose the tray table instead - it's still vandalism and no one wants to see that while they eat.
