Stuck in BOS, explanation is that United computers in Chicago are down. Anyone else experiencing this? They say they are trying alternate method to get the data we need to fly.

All flights world-wide grounded--per UA pilot
It's 2PM Honolulu time and we've been all loaded up to go on UA 724 for SFO.
Captain gets on intercom and says we (all other planes) are grounded because of world-wide communications meltdown. I called the airline's number and they don't know anything about it.
Anybody know anything about anything right now? Seems improbable. Are all flights in the air going to try to land somewhere? Is the world flying in the dark (if at all)?

Today I noticed a much longer security line at NRT, which I have never seen that long before, is this related?

I just landed in IAH and we are stuck on the tarmac waiting to get into a gate. Of course no one is able to depart so we are not going anywhere...
