PHX-SFO, F7 A1 D1 Z0 on a 319; $353 from a T fare.
PHX seems weird for pricing, but obviously declined as if I cared the D fare was $394 outright, although this may be my first segment in UA Y this year.. silly 319s.

EWR-SFO on an L Fare currently stuck in a E- middle seat.
After Purchase Buy Up Offer : $1221 (which is what the difference was between J and E)
At OLCI: T-21 No seats available.
At OLCI: T-19 2 seats now available current offer $1571 per seat (HA!).
Will continue to monitor... Would pull trigger for $350 or less.

And now $238 after I rebooked as an L fare, interesting. So maybe there is some twisted new logic that incorporates fare paid.

9/8 SFO-SYD, booked in T, 6 months out. Upgrade offer at OLCI was $1519 with 9 seats to sell. I happily took it. I was out of GPUs. Return SYD-SFO is already booked in a Z fare.
For reference: at T-30 days both app and online offered $10890!! (I took a screenshot on my phone!) and at T-48hrs it was down to $3724. Once I saw the $1519 offer for a 14+55 flight it was a no brainer. Apparently others felt that way as well, as the flight departed with 48/48 booked and no one clearing from the visible upgrade list. 4 stbys did clear into Y though. Full flight.

09/06/2018 UA673 (EWR-SFO) none offered @ OLCI
09/06/2018 UA871(SFO-TPE) none offered
09/11/2018 UA872(TPE-SFO) $2033 at times but had waitlist for the next segment, now $1299 (without any for the onwards) where it's been for most times
09/11/2018 UA233(SFO-EWR) none offered, not even waitlist
Are agents @ airport able to make it below the OCLI price?

But yes you can ask the agents at the airport and sometimes they even announce the availability and price on the PA at the gate.

I feel like the prices are more variable now, and higher on average, so I would believe there has been a significant change to the code that might be causing this.

MSY-IAH-SNA return. $112 each way for F MSY-IAH-MSY, $182 for IAH-SNA-IAH. I bought upgrades for the longer legs.

BOS-ORD $1479
Interestingly, for $581 they will sell a F ticket on that flight outright.

It seems to occur semi-randomly when there are only a few seats left. A walk-up ticket is still for sale for hundreds of dollars, but the upgrade offer via check-in for an economy ticket will be absurdly high. I believe I've gotten an offer as high as $2300 for SFO-ORD or something like that.

EWR-NRT just $1k after purchase
EF shows 9s on all fare classes
tempted just because it's true polaris hard product with EWR lounge, plus possible P fare class (wondering if it'll get mapped to P on a *A partner accrual)
