I can only imagine your disappointment as you were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. Our excellent chefs are dedicated to providing exceptional meals and I am positive you'll have a better experience next time.
It takes an excellent chef to take a frozen UNO Pizza and throw it in the oven to serve?

2014-2016 might have been the best that domestic catering had to offer, hopefully we will head back in the right direction soon.

My IAH-MSP 12pm departure is showing as lunch on an E175, so I'm assuming cold options only?

Weirdly, the return the next morning (5:30am departure on a 739) is showing as snack. Really? Not even a full breakfast on a 3 hour flight?

Correct; there are no ovens on board.

Snack basket on LAX->ORD is pathetic. Can't believe they are not even offering a snack now.

UA660 is a 10:55pm redeye departure - I think the snack basket is a
reasonable offering

On IAH-SFO 7:30am departure we had breakfast, then solid snack basket 1 hour before landing. I was pleased.

I am well aware it is a redeye. I think it is vending machine fodder, not reasonable at all for a ~4hour mainline flight.

Are they serving a full breakfast on arrival or something? Otherwise, this is just further cost cutting.

5 pm MIA-EWR Flight last Saturday

The choices were Chicken Salad or hamburger.

After just had an all-you-can Stone Crab lunch and a bottle of Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc on the first Saturday of the 2017 Florida Stone Crab season, I picked chicken salad ( I hardly finished 1/2 of what was served because I was so full from the stone crabs to eat).

The dreaded basket. Overripe bananas, fig bars (only half size), and raisins. First class all the way

While that might be a devaluation to some, it’s a big plus to me. I really hated when they took out the Economy Salads on International flights for Quinoa and Corn koos koos mix.

Cost-cutting? There has never been meal served on 4 hour redeyes, and I have taken dozens and dozens of them over the years. People getting on a plane at 10:55am are not really looking for a meal between the hours of 11:30 and 1:30am.

Never say never.... I'm sure UA served a meal of some sort on a red eye but I'm sure that happened in many years. Now, I wish something would be served, a cheese plate, fruit plate, something to nibble on.

Nope the basket is all you get. Having flown AA from ORD to LAX couple of years ago and all they gave out during the redeye flight was warmed nuts and drink only, the snack basket is a vast improvement. I do agree that the food offering should be improved on a 4+ hour flight.
