Any word on GS for you?

Yes, unlike most GS members I rarely buy business or first but usually buy non-refundable economy and use my upgrades for long haul international. I do however often purchase above a W booking code (but less than a B) so that keeps my PQD’s high ($69,796). Since my total Star Alliance BIS was also high at 577,397 my effective ratio of PQM to BIS was only 1.16. I guess I am more of a “quantity” versus a “quality” flyer.

I have been GS for several years, but like many I have not heard anything. My personal experience is that United is more interested in your total spend in dollars and perhaps your home airport then what booking codes you book in or your cpm.

Interesting observation on home airport. This is the first time I changed my mailing address from D.C. metro area to South Florida, and I have not heard anything about my GS requalification. Coincidence...may be?

I think the point here is that United may likely compare you to other United flyers from the airport you fly out of. If you are usually flying out of a non-hub airport than you will probably qualify with a lower PQD than if you were flying out of a United Hub airport where there are a lot more higher spending flyers who don't have to connect to another flight to fly international.
