skipped Gold straight to Platinum
Quaified for Gold and then Platinum within a span of two weeks, by 11/19/2016 (first time w/ UA)
Received the Premier Platinum Kit on 12/27/2016 (first time on UA) - same contents as what was reported upthread |

If the first time as Gold, then the kit was just late (and in progress when you made Plat) and you will get a Plat kit in January. 2016 = Gold (all year) 2017 = Platinum |
Out of curiosity, are these kits coming by snail mail or fedex/ups.
Mine is probably screwed beyond belief, I made plat end of 2015 - status match, got no kit and assumed it was because of status match. Gifted 1K in first wave of 2016, made 1K in July 2016. 1K line said my package was "Sent to printers" on Sep 27th. Still have received nothing |
Requalified for 1K at the end of September.
1K welcome kit arrived yesterday in SLC via USPS trackable mail. An overall nice improvement from last year's cheap looking one. Luggage tags are still the small, generic ones (I don't mind them) but there is a new Inspiring Destinations book (snipits of Three Perfect Days it looks like). Pleasantly surprised. |
First time poster.
Was Silver last year and decided to concentrate my travel on UA in 2016. Qualified for Platinum 11/5 and got kit 12/13. Made 1K 11/21 and got GPU/RPUs within 48 hours. Mystatus.united.com just says to "Keep your profile up to date" where the kit status usually is. |
Requalified for Silver in early November. Got the kit in the mail today (small bag tag).

I wouldn't mind receiving my Plat credentials which I requalified for in September. I wouldn't mind receiving my 1K credentials which I up-qualified for at the start of December. But I REALLY REALLY wouldn't mind having my GPU's and my two additional RPU's deposited. Weeks on that stuff? Why not as soon as my status starts to show 1K online?
Edited to add: I also have the "Keep your profile up to date" and no green box. |

Seems a waste of money and resources. And it is fairly standard that re-qualify folks don't get the replacement credentials until January -- been that way for me for 20+ years. As long as I get them before the previous card expires. As for the GPU/RPUs, they should be prompt (and I was so fortunate) but the delays this year and occasional in the past are poor form. |

Still you would have not gotten your Plat "re-qual" until January. And your "up-qualified" 1K in early December, will not come until January. Either way, nothing different than what happens each year is happening. No reason to be concerned. The RPU/GPUs is a different story. Hope that is straighten out soon. |
Just received my 1K kit today (Dec 29th). Re-qualified in Oct.
Packaging is nicer than years past. The book on 5 things to do in various destinations is a nice touch. Drink chits are colorful and have QR codes now. |
I received my Platinum kit a week or two ago - my status still tells me my old one is active :)

Qualified months ago; have yet to receive anything at my Swiss address.

Requalified for 1K at the end of August.
Didn't receive the 1K-kit until now. The last 2 years I had to mail 1K as I didn't receive the kit end of February. |
