Struggling with UA website - award booking w/ stops in CUN & CZM
Hey all,
I'm trying to put together an award booking itinerary that looks like this:
ORD>CUN
March 30, 2017
CUN>CZM
April 2, 2017
CZM>ORD
April 9, 2017
When I put this into their search engine, it shows a list of flights from ORD>CUN (of which, the mileage prices and flight have changed for each search I have done...). Okay. So I select one of these flights. Then it just displays the flight, with a giant blank space below it, and no other options. I have booked many award flights with UA in the past, but have never seen anything like this. It is not even throwing an error that no flights exist, or my itinerary doesn't work, but just simply giving me a blank page - not loading the next flights from CUN>CZM. Can someone more experienced help me out with this booking? Much appreciated.

I've run into this exact issue before; couldn't figure out why, but it seemed to affect certain dates only. When the blank page would display, if I click another date on the calendar, flights would show.
I ended up having to call for the dates affected by this bug.

I never had this issue with the old website, not sure if there's a version of that booking engine floating around somewhere...

CUN-CZM is not bookable on UA. There are a few turboprop flights (Maya Air and Hahn, I think), but the vast majority of folks take the Ferry over from Playa del Carmen, which is about a 45 minute taxi from CUN.
You'll have to book this as ORD-CUN open jaw CZM-ORD on UA.

CUN to COZ
I usually fly into CUN for my vacations and fly out of CZM because it is so much easier than dealing with Cancun Airport and we like spending our last week in Cozumel. We always just take the ULTRAMAR or MEXICO Ferry from Playa Del Carmen across to Cozumel. Have you considered that? Just book a one way Award to CUN and a one way Award outbound back to ORD. You also have a better shot that way of getting a Saver Award on at least one Segment. This year, I was able to find Saver Awards both ways.

As stated above, this is not a bug. You cannot fly CUN-CZM on UA. The ferry from PDC is very easy and inexpensive.

Seconded on the ferry. Just be sure they don't leave your luggage on the dock.... (speaking from experience - that was hair raising; thankfully they sent it on the next ferry over but I was completely panicked!)
