"Do you have the Glenfarclas?"
"The, uh, the what?"
"The new scotch, the Glenfarclas. Do you have that? [points to it in Hemispheres]."
"Uh, no, I do not. I do have Canadian Club or Dewar's, though."
"Hmm. I don't think I want that, thank you, but do you have Jim Beam?"
"Sure. How would you like the Jim Beam?"
"Neat is fine, thanks."

She handed me a mini of Canadian Club.

Another option: ask for the empty bottle of Glenfarclas and cap and show it to the FA/Purser on the next flight where you get a "huh?" or blank stare...

I still get mostly blank stares when I ask for it. FAs seem to be aware of the Buffalo Trace though. I wish they would replace dewars with Black Label or something with peat.

I think I am 50/50 for FAs recognising it, but I do sometimes pre-emptively settled for Buffalo Trace when I don't want to go through the song and dance. When I feel up to it, 'the Glen...farclas scotch' is the easiest way I've found to ask.

I really hate dewars neat, but in a highball it is OK.
