Terms and Conditions

* For this promotion, only dollars spent on the "fare" on eligible flights operated by United and United Express will qualify toward meeting spending milestones. Certain specialty tickets, including but not limited to unpublished, consolidator/bulk, group, tour and opaque fares, will not be counted towards spending milestones. Dollars spent on tickets purchased for flights operated by a Star Alliance member airline or a MileagePlus partner airline with tickets issued by United (ticket number starting with "016") will not qualify for this offer. The "fare" is the base fare of the ticket plus carrier-imposed surcharges, excluding any government-imposed taxes and surcharges. For tickets purchased in a currency other than U.S. dollars, we will convert the purchase to U.S. dollars using an industry-standard exchange rate. Please note that the price displayed when purchasing a ticket on united.com includes up to a 7.5% U.S. Federal Transportation Tax on the base amount of the fare on itineraries wholly within the United States. This tax also applies to certain itineraries between the United States and Canada or Mexico. The U.S. Federal Transportation tax will not count toward meeting any spending milestone.

** For this promotion, bonus award miles will be awarded for each spending milestone that has been met, subject to the terms and conditions. Milestone bonuses may be earned only once. Partial bonuses will not be awarded for members who don't reach a certain milestone. All calculations made in connection with this offer will be made by United MileagePlus® in its discretion and considered final.

Only original recipients of this email invitation can register and participate in this promotion.
Registration is required by November 15, 2016. Only tickets purchased and ticketed after registration and within the ticketing dates will qualify.
Ticketing and dates: May 25, 2016, through November 30, 2016.
Dollars earned toward this promotion will count as Premier® qualifying dollars toward MileagePlus Premier status qualification, but do not guarantee status. All other qualification requirements must be met for the applicable Premier® status.
This offer is not combinable with other non-combinable offers.
Bonus award miles will post to your account six to eight weeks after the promotion ends on November 30, 2016. Bonus will be calculated using the originally ticketed fares and/or fare classes, as applicable, and subsequent changes to any fares and/or fare classes as a result of itinerary changes, complimentary or paid upgrades, purchase of travel products (including but not limited to United ClubSM, Premier Access®, Award Accelerator®, Premier AcceleratorSM), irregular operations or otherwise will not be considered.

Qualifying for a higher status level than the complimentary status awarded in connection with this offer requires meeting the published qualification thresholds for Premier status.
The complimentary status is valid through January 31, 2017.
A Premier membership card and kit will be not issued for the complimentary status period. Your new benefits will be reflected in your Mileage Plus account once you log in and you may enjoy Premier benefits on United- or United Express-operated flights by providing your account number when making reservations or at check-in.

My Silver spouse is $60 short of her next milestone with no travel between now and Nov 30. I believe the answer is no, but just wanted to check see if there is some way she can spend that amount to get her next 15k miles without flying.

Has anyone been able to confirm E+ purchases count? I am going to be about $30 short of final milestone with one segment left before 11/30.

Promo rules are pretty clear- it is the spending on UA and UExpress air travel that counts. You'd have to find a short flight to somewhere to make up the difference.

I just hit my first milestone of $40k for which I will get 50K miles. Ironically I will hit my second milestone of $45K spend on November 29th so I should get another 75K miles for that. I was tempted to extend my trip in Europe into December but it's leisure and I really need to be at work. My final milestones is $50K for the last 125K miles but I just really don't need the miles. Pretty psyched with the about the promotion, at least the horrible experience in the UAX EMB-145 this week roundtrip to EWR-YUL in coach for $2400 for one 3 hour delay and then one as it should be - a 1 hour flight - I can put behind me!!

Hit my milestones. I can't see milestone 2 and 3 showing up in my account yet.

On a separate note, will reach 48K out of SFO. I think it's too low for GS. Haven't been GS in years.

I'll hit my 3rd milestone on Dec 2. Two days earlier and I would get another 153k miles. Dang.

Feel your pain...thanks to some last minute travel I'm just barely going to clear my 1st milestone ($13,500), and I have a fleeting shot at the 2nd (15,500) but if I had until December 2nd I'd have no problem clearing it. The $19,500 third target ain't gonna happen this year.

Kicking myself too because I had a trip early in the promo period booked before the promo period that I could have canceled and re-ticketed had I been thinking... Had I done tat there's probably a 90% chance I would have hit all three with room to spare.

Oh well, I already have a few hundred thousand more miles than I'll figure out how to use anytime soon...

I'm going to hit #3 on Nov. 30. Had to structure my flights and fares a bit to do it (A vs. P on the last flight) . . . but worth it for the additional 40K miles.

Met #3 during a flight on 11/14. That flight posted mid-day on 11/16 and I checked the promotion paged which showed it to be met, however no miles posted. Checked again yesterday (11/18) and it now showed the miles posted from goal #3 back dated to 11/14...

Hit my first bonus last Friday; it posted Monday. Hit the second bonus on Sunday; it posted Friday. Pretty quick overall. Didn't anticipate hitting any of them, but now my wife and I have 83k more miles as a result. Thanks United! ^

(I would like to better understand the various limits they set around achieving the targets at some point)

Hit my first milestone - 35,000 miles for $32,000 of spend. Kind of ridiculous.

To be eligible, flights must be purchased after registration and flown before November 30, 2016.
Am I correct in assuming this also means flights departing on November 30 will also count?
