This offer does work very well for me, with 120k RDM for a $4500 spend. However, I do have a concern over how the PQD is calculated. Not usually having to deal with it as an overseas resident maybe someone can put my mind to rest before committing to a purchase I plan.
I already have on flight booked, bought after registering. The total pqd on the breakdown is $1150, but two of the flights are on LH (AMS-FRA and v.v). These two flights have been shown as $20 each way for pqd purposes, leaving $1110 as qualifying towards this offer.
The other flight I have planned is an MCO-HKG entirely on UA which has a PQD shown of $3460 (P fare), which should mean a total spend of $4570.
Is there any risk of the final PQD figure for the AMS-FRA flights being assessed as greater than $20, reducing the remainder to below the $1060 figure required to pass the threshold. Finally, is there any implication on the pqd of the tickets being purchased in UK stirling. Does fluctuations in the exchange rate between the time of purchase and the flight make a difference to the PQD, bearing in mind that the UK rate of exchange is volitile at the moment due to the EU debate.

With the promotion now finished, I guess we will have to wait and see how long it takes to post the bonuses.
From what I can gather from the MP desk, the promo title was Thomas Brother #2 if anyone has any queries, since the promo details were never published on .com

completed mine at end of July, only received miles for milestone 1, not 2 and 3. contacted United and they said miles will post in 8 weeks from the promotion end on September 4- not before. They don't know why the first milestone miles posted.
