Any Mileage Plus Members made to the Star Alliance Top 1000 Group?

I received a letter signed by Oscar and Mark Schwab (CEO of *A).

They congratulated me for earning a spot in the Star Alliance Top 1000 Group.
Top 1,000 flyers amongst 220 million Star Alliance Frequent Flyer members in 2015.

The criteia:
Top 1,000 travellers flown the most on at least six Star Alliance member airlines in 2015.

I also received an invitation to participate in the *A research initiatives and also a limited edition Star Alliance leather card holder.

Any other Mileage Plus members/Flyertalkers made it to the *A Top 1000 Group?

That's nifty. At least they have given you some recognition. I think they should give you guys something a little nicer but it's better than nothing I guess.

Cool! I am hopeful that Star eventually rolls out a higher-than-*G tier, with meaningful benefits, as it is a very attainable status at present without some of the perks of OWE, for instance.

Though Top 1000 out of 220,000,000 is awfully rarefied air!

Congrats. That is really cool.

Who wants to bet that Mr. ua1flyer is #1 on that list? :D

I thought about that, but no idea if he flies on *A partners much. OP notes the requirement to fly on at least 6 different *A airlines during the course of the year...

Very cool! I didn't even realize this was something that was tracked and awarded. Congratulations!

I'm never home (well, not much anyway) but I flew UA, AC, LH, AI, ET, OS, TK at least last year on revenue tickets. I'll report back if I got added to this club.

I didn't make UA GS on $64K spend so I doubt I made this club either.

It seems like a very cheap "gift" for such (apparently) significant revenue spend. Most cruise lines give those out to hold pax key cards. I probably have a dozen. Congrats nonetheless!

I did at least 400k+ last year on star alliance but not sure if I did it on 6 different members... When I get back to the states next week will be interested to see if I made it...

I don't know what they'd give to the higher tier of *A, unless its PPS/HON/GS and for lounge access. And its been fairly clear that LH/LX have no intention of allowing the unwashed partners access to their FirstKlass Services.

Congrats! Really cool.

While I am glad you made it I am glad I did not. :) Congrants

Wonder how many of those 220m flew 6 airlines.
