And when the line at EWR is over an hour long does this service bypass that? It says "premier access" but that means nothing. The PA lines can be an hour as well. After 24 years as a 1K this is the first year I have not taken 1 single UA flight. I have better things to do then stand on lines longer then any other, anywhere. I thought UA had fixed this but from what I hear, it's still a mess at EWR

Not sure what exactly this has to do with here....TSA lines at many airports including EWR are facing this issue and it is regardless of airline (hence why AA just submitted formal complaints on the TSA at multiple airports and calling them out).

True, but from what I've read nothing is worse right now then EWR

FWIW, I was there last Tuesday ~5p. TSAPre was about 10-12 minutes depending on if you went left or right at the split.

EWR is much improved lately. Much improved. I have traveled frequently in 2016 on peak days/peak times and since March or so, things are dramatically better.

General security can be a mess, but wait times for Premier and Pre are measurably better than the late 2015 nadir, IME.

Premier or JUST Pre?? My Global Entry had expired on Jan 1st and I just got around to re-applying which is no easier then doing it the first time. Waiting for approval to make my apt for a new interview. (in 5 years I won't be so lazy)

I got off the AirTrain at C-2 last Tuesday. I didn't look to closely, but the Premier line at that location looked reasonable. None of the "lines down the stairs" that were reported in Feb and March.

Just saw this email for promotion at IAH.

Does anybody feel this is kind of the GSM (I called it Global Service Monetization) at least on the ground service?

Other than IRROPs handling, First class lounge, I don't know how different that is to what GS gets when they travel regularly. Heck, even GS may not get that much of ground service when they travel.

    UA Signature Service

Got an email offer for a 15% off for my upcoming flight. Never heard of this before, tried test booking and was quoted $250 for connection service (before discount).

Looks like this service is available only at ORD, IAH, EWR, SFO.

Saw the same email as well. I think this was announced awhile back. I'm not sure why anyone would pay for this.

There's some sucker somewhere who will. Everything is incremental revenue.

I received the same email. The only reason I could come up with for myself was if I had (for example) an elderly family member who had to travel alone. Then it might be worth the money for my peace of mind to ensure he/she had assistance in navigating the travel process.
