I'm in the same boat. I've got a trip next week I'll be a Plat on, then the flights the following week I'll be reduced to Gold :)

OP is going from plat to gold (as am I). Gold still gets free SDC and all elites get YB instant upgrades, so OP will still have those things.

DW and I are in the same boat. However we managed to use our last 3 RPU on a flight from Tampa to IAD for us and a colleague on the evening Jan 31. We don't drink so he has to do thee free drinking for all of us. He will man up and try

You are right about SDC, I misread chart.

About the YB fares, I meant to say that after Feb. 1, only 1Ks will be put on upgrade standby list for YB fares within 5 days. (I assume they also include GS). I will go back and edit my Post.
