Had a great night in Frankfurt and enjoyed meeting many UA crew members at my hotel - when I tried to take some coffee in the morning at the hotel the Germans didn’t care I was a GS…. No coffee for me!

But you are a "United Member" (MileagePlus)....it should have specified "United Airlines Crew ONLY"

Based on the cups, appears to be the/a Meridien.

Yes it was - good bar - average rooms - horribly overpriced - perfect for UA!

I actually heard someone say DYKWIA.

This was at LGA back in the day where the entire staff was always grumpy. I'd be too, if I had to work in a place that was dark, smelly, overcrowded and full of New Yorkers in full self-important big city mode.

I was waiting at a gate for the flight after the current one, the GA had cleared all the Pax and closed the door.

A guy sauntered up talking on this phone a mile a minute and threw his BP down on the counter, still on the phone. The GA informed him that the gate was closed.
This is when the guy actually said the exact words DYKWIA? The agent calmly looked down at the screen and said, "Why, yes i do" your Mr. xxx, you're global services and you've missed your flight. You might want to be on time next time" Some shouting ensued until he walked away with a little black cloud over his head still talking on the phone.

I always found LGA staff super helpful to a GS once you accepted that the good service was going to be delivered with an attitude. I used to preface requests to the lounge dragons with something like "I know all you deal with all day is bozos like me asking for favors but I'm really special..." and they would usually go way out of their way to help me. I miss the old lounge bartenders who were mostly salty old women. The New LGA experience just doesn't feel right.

To add a little to the DYKWIA thread. I was clearing LHR security during the labor slow down last weekend. Took 2h45min to go curb to lounge. As me and my companion are about to hit the metal detectors some suit comes up escorting Jake Paul (had to look him up after the fact) and his girlfriend to cut in front of the massive 2 hour queue for security. His girlfriend kept audibly referring to "all these losers in line". Just really embarrassing. Meanwhile when I left the lounge to catch my flight to ORD they were sitting at the LAX gate. Enough juice to jump the security line but not enough to get some basic UC access?

As an aside, the guy is huge but his face... woof from all the boxing...
