The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to https://www.cablepick.net/united#

Just enter your flight number, date, origin and destination. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

This is one main reason why I keep an external USB battery charger in my carry-on bags. I'm a fan of the 10,000+ma models, but if you want something small, a

will likely charge your phone back to 100% -- or keep it charged at that level while you're using IFE. YMMV

It was discussed in a thread already buried a couple pages back. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ts-united.html

Guess it didn't generate much interest because there wasn't anything to complain about.

With 3 out of 9 HA config 772 grounded (2511/2512 in Mod and 2514 engine overhaul)

UA 218/9 HNL-ORD will be on 3-cabin 772 until 10FEB16
UA 328/383 HNL-DEN will be on pmco 752 until 04APR16

So we can assume 10Feb will roughly be the date a new-domestic config 772 started? or maybe 2514 back flying again, giving 2019 was test flying already.

One would hope this would that UA took the opportunity to reconfig #2514 with the new lie flats with it in the shop for so long. It would have been a waste of a great opportunity to do it with the bird out anyway (assuming the seats were available to do it).

Maybe due to some considerations in cost the heavy mod needs to be done in HKG or XMN
