United Airlines Award/Premier Accelerator Rates [2016]

In a break with previous years' patterns, my Accelerator PQMs failed to spike at the end of December. They remained at 10¢ throughout the month. And still do today.

18k @ $1800
9k @ $900

RDMs remain at 1.9¢

RNE, expecting my PQM price to drop to 8¢ sometime in January.

Smile Pqm = $.10 rdm =$.019

I just purchased an "L" Fare, DMM-BUD-DMM on LH at United.com.

I was offered an Accelerator option as follows:

14,000 RDM at $266 or $.019 per mile.
14,000 PQM at an additional $1,400 or $.10 per mile.

I passed. Too early to think about going for 1K in 2016 as UA has completely abandoned the Middle East where I live.

Same thing. Probably need to wait until after the holiday weekend when UA can let an intern play with the accelerator numbers.

My PQMs are at 10 cents per mile for a shortish domestic itin (5k and 10k miles being offered), as well as for a transpac (offering 40k and 60k miles).

Um, I could burn $6k for stuff that is a helluva lot more fun than 1K status on UAL.

By the beginning of last month I booked an int'l itin, and checked what the rates would be.

They were 10 cpm for PQMs. I don't exactly remember the price for RDMs, but total RDMs+PQMs wouldn't pass 12cpm.

Tried to pay for a 60,000 mile offer @ 10 cents/ mile. But, the system gives an error. Should I call the phone number or wait? Is this a known issue?

What!? Were you making that purchase at gunpoint?

The system was doing you a favor: preventing you from blowing 6,000 perfectly good dollars on PQMs.

RNE, incredulous.

United Airlines Award/Premier Accelerator Rates [2016]

Today I booked an ORD-MSP itinerary for me (Plat) and my son (non-elite). Neither of us has flown yet in 2016. We were each offered the same cpm rates on Accelerator: the familiar 2.3 cpm for RDM, and 15.0 cpm for PQM. However, the amounts we were offered were different: he was offered 1K or 2K, while I was offered 3K or 6K.

I booked an itinerary last year, early Dec. I get offered 18k miles or 9k miles for 2.1 cpm RDMs, and 12 cpm PQMs. A couple days ago it was cheaper.

My offers constantly change from 1.9 to 2.1 (not PQM) on the same itineraries, not sure why.

As I predicted, my PQM is now 8¢.
My RDM rose from 1.9¢ to 2.1¢.
So my previous (combined) cost was 11.9¢ and it's now 10.1¢.

Nice Call !! I just checked my itinerary and experienced the same change; PQM is now $.08 and RDM $.021.

Do you care to predict the Accelerator Rates between now and March 13 ? I seem to recall PQMs for $.08 are about as low as they go, at least for 1Ks.
