Remember last year, when food was good?
Was it the French toast casserole? If so I would gladly eat it for dinner and it doesn't need syrup. It's ridiculously good

IAD-IAH
Saturday, January 30

3 hours on an E-175 and....no breakfast catered. I had eaten ahead of time, so no real harm for me. Others? Not so lucky. FA said it happens all the time at IAD.

Really? Maybe I'm just not that into mexican food. I wanted a warm meal though, thats why I didnt choose the other option. At least I got a choice on this flight. It wasn't anything to write home about. I thought it could have more flavor in general, maybe more spicy. They use to give you a packet of hot sauce.

I actually think that the salsa and avocado served to the left of it is an upgrade to hot sauce, but YMMV.

The UA weight loss program! Better than Weight Watchers!

UA 1948 IAH-PHX 2/7/2016 17:55 hrs.

PDB served
Jambalaya was my choice. It was flavorful, but portion size was lacking.
Small salad, and dinner roll.
Breakfast was the chocolate chip cookie.

Service was generally attentive. Portion sizes do seem awfully small, however. For me, personally, quality does matter more than quantity.

I strongly suspect some beancounter at UA made the decision to cut portion sizes by X percent, in order to cut costs by Y percent. I doubt if they are doing this to help us lose weight.

p.s. LAX-EWR 10:22am

Bravo! This was my first "enhanced" non-breakfast p.s. flight. And in fact really haven't had but 1 or 2 domestic flights since the upgrades.

The appetizer was okay. The salad was amazing. I loved it, exactly something I would order. The fish entree was really good too (the rice had a texture/consistency like cous cous sadly)...good seasoning and nicely cooked.
