Since 1994 -- 22 consecutive years later yikes still a 1K. No recognition for all of these years of loyalty -- just an "over entitled elite."

I think we should change the vote to:under 18 (that's amazing), 18-21, 22-25,26-30,30-35,36-40,etc.. cause 18, 21, 25 years old are 3 important age..

I was 16/17 when I made 1K, couldn't hold on to it for more than that year though :(

First time 1K this year, at 48. Impressed by the young median of the poll!

Bruin1K Dec 29, 2015 7:54 pm

Got my mileage plus account at 37.
Became 1k that year and have been one since.

Was CO Gold since 14/15 years old, and hit CO Platinum at 18, keeping it until the merger. Then I hit 1K at 24 I think.
GS at 26.
Followed by EK iO at 30.

+1 - I think I've been an over-entitled 1K since 94 or 95.

I lost 1K status between 2008 and 2010 due to not traveling much during those times (ramping up in 2010). I made UGS in 2003, 2005 and 2006 but essentially stopped traveling due to job change in 2006. I was soft bumped to 1K in 2007. I was a 1K for 13 consecutive years from 1995 (late 1994 1K status) through 2007. I have been 1K now 5 additional years and re-qualified for 2016 1K back in August of this year. That makes me 18 years out of the past 21 years as a 1K. Not quite PaulMCO territory but maybe close enough for a cigar. :)

Premier Executive? 13. Happily not yet GS two decades later.

1K this year for the first time at 23. 70/30 personal/business I think.

I am not certain if a person can (according to the rules) become a MP member until they are 18. Does anyone know?

If true, my suggestion to UA is to allow kids under 18 to become MP members. Then when they fly with parents, they can earn MP benefits & UA can build loyalty with future adult PAX. I know a family of husband & wife 1K members who quite often take their children on flights. I would venture to say that the kids could qualify easily for 1K if allowed to.:D. If kids CAN become MP members, I will inform them.
