I am aware of the IAD-LAX direct flight, but I wanted to experience the PS service at least once and so I chose to have an additional connection. I really hope the EWR-LAX leg clears.

Just became 1K for the first time yesterday. Confirmed my first GPU trip this morning. Very exciting!
Route: BOS-EWR-HKG-SGN & SGN-HKG-EWR-BOS
Date: 3/10-3/22

Price: $1526 - $350 VDB ETC = $1176 out of pocket
I originally wanted to return on Monday 3/21, but there weren't any GPUs available for an itinerary arriving on that Monday. BUT, I was able to find an itinerary arriving in EWR on 3/21 with an 18 hour layover, scheduling me to arrive in BOS the next morning on 3/22. So I booked it, with my thought being I can skip the EWR-BOS segment and just drive home, or go on standby, arriving back in BOS on my desired date of 3/21.
