On December 1, 2016, BusinessFirst service on p.s. transcontinental routes became United Business®, and now features our custom Saks Fifth Avenue pillow and duvet. Previous p.s. features did not change other than the new bedding.
The first PS flights to/from EWR started 25 Oct 2015

FAQs
Are all flights on these routes lie-flat, etc?
Yes -- all non-stop flights from SFO/LAX to/from EWR and SFO<>BOS are configured as such regardless of aircraft used. All scheduled aircraft have a lie-flat premium cabin.

Are these CPU-eligible flights?
No -- no CPU on these flights. It will take RPU/GPU/mileage+copays to upgrade. Generally, these are "hard" upgrades.

Are TODs / Cash upgrades offered?
Yes, $298 cash OW upgrades are regularly offered.

28J, 42E+, 72Y, but it was a premium-heavy configuration. (At least, I'm talking about the version with 28J lie-flat, not the older ones.)

Why is there only one Dreamliner 787-10 flight daily between EWR-SFO and is that likely to change in the next 10 months? I do understand that an equipment swap and downgrade from PP to economy is very likely.

If I am flying SFO-EWR in J and then connecting to another domestic flight, but the connection is in Y, will I receive UC access in EWR?

Yes, flying business gets you access on origin and destination points of the flight. I forget whether it applies to other airports on the same itinerary, although I'm sure someone here can chime in on that

Just looking for it at EWR on a relatively long layover - great news, thanks!

United does not allow you access to UC other than SFO/LAX and EWR.

American however will allow you access to Admirals Club for connections beyond JFK and LAX-SFO.

The last I read from a remotely trustworthy source was MatthewLAX's blog in January. It did not mention any timeline.

Menus on Premium Transcon have been dramatically updated (at least for lunch/dinner) with more and better main course options. Also, now there is ice cream cart.
