Just wait to hear what Delta is going to do; UA will do the same.

I was wondering the same.

I realize there is a lot going on now with management.

I would think something would come out soon. I am most curious about the no fee for change or cancel for award travel at certain levels.

Many of us are planning our travel already for next year, so it would be nice to know what is happening. Good or bad.

I hope not. Delta's awards to my destinations are twice as much (80,000 miles) more then UA.
I guess we will all have to wait and see.

I'm going to spend 14K this year and be short of 50K miles. Thankfully for mm status I'll at least be Gold. Asked UA for a comp to Platinum they said NO.

Not fair that 14K would've earned me silver if I wasn't MM

Why are you giving them ideas? Are you looking for a change?

IMO -- if there was going to be a drastic change to MP qualifications, it would've been announced in August or around then. Looks like it's going to be either the status quo or, in the worst case scenario, I can see the qualifications getting bumped to 4/8/12/16 (also depending on DL and their elite numbers as well).

No. I just want to know when they will announce it. If it changes I might leave so they better not get any ideas!

Totally agree! I'd really like to see a system that rewards spend more than, or at least equally to, miles. Both are important measures of loyalty, but it seems like there could be more of a formula. For example, if 100K and $12K gets you 1K then so should 50K and $18K (or whatever is fair). Set a minimum of 25k miles to qualify at all.

Your scenario is every year for me. I will be around $12k and Gold this year, if I find a way to do a short mileage run in December...probably about 1000 miles short otherwise.

Shouldn't this question be in the Delta forum?
