Corporate Discount Code (CDP) 62455, Promotional Coupon (PC) 204508 and MileagePlus number required for this offer

Limited-time offer: Now through January 31, 2018, when you book a mid-size or larger car with Hertz through united.com, you'll earn 1,500 bonus award miles in addition to the miles you normally earn, for a total of up to 2,750 miles. You MUST go to the united.com landing page first, then click onto the Hertz offer from there. Going straight to Hertz.com could result in Hertz denying you the bonus miles.

Be sure to provide discount code (CDP) 62455, PC#305023 and your MileagePlus number at the time of reservation.

MileagePlus members receive the following benefits:

Save up to 40% on the base rate* of each qualifying Hertz rental with discount code (CDP) 62455
Earn more MileagePlus award miles for each qualifying paid Hertz rental by providing a MileagePlus number when making a reservation or picking up a rental
MileagePlus Premier® members as well as primary cardmembers of the United MileagePlus Club and United MileagePlus Presidential PlusSM Cards can enroll to receive complimentary Hertz Gold Plus Rewards elite status.

T&Cs can also be found in the link above.

Screenshot of the actual email (less personally identifying information and the T&C's at the end of the email) can be found HERE.

Timing:

Initial Posting (500 miles) within 3-4 days of the trip. (some report 24 hours)
Bonus Posting (Premier Miles) within 7-8 days of the trip.
Additional Miles Posting within xx-xx days of the trip.

Retroactive mileage credit:

There have been many data points of car reservations made through United.com not properly crediting to the member's MP account. To obtain retroactive credit follow the link on the Hertz.com homepage under Customer Support named "Frequent Traveler Credit". Input your appropriate account and reservation details and you'll receive a response back from Hertz within 3-5 business days. Allow at least seven days after rental return before requesting the credit. This works for obtaining both the base mile credit and whatever bonus your status level entitles you to, e.g. GS/1K bonus, etc.

Just got an email saying the smaller standard bonus (up to 1500 extra miles per booking) was extended until the end of February.

Got this too.

Here's the problem I'm having.

I'm flying into DTW and returning from GRR next weekend.

If I book DTW-DTW for car rental, price is $53 total.
If I book same timed DTW-GRR, price is $223. How does that even make sense? Hertz says there could be a one way dropoff charge, but is it really that much?

And also, does it matter if booked through united.com or hertz.com? They both use the same Discount and Promo code, but United.com only shows me airports.

I got the same email. However it doesn't specify it should be in the US, or at an airport location, or even a franchise location. I have read the T&C included in the email pretty thoroughly.

Anyone care to weigh in?

Here's the new offer:

Still not bad. Still don't know if it's good for non-airport and non-corporate locations.

But do you really have to book through united.com?
Limited-time offer: Now through December 31, 2015, when you book a mid-size or larger car with Hertz through united.com, you'll earn 1,500 bonus award miles in addition to the miles you normally earn, for a total of up to 2,750 miles.
Yuck! I want to book at hertz.com!

The offer is valid through the end of February as far as I am aware now.

One question: if a reservation is booked through .bomb without a code, and I add the promotional code on the Hertz site afterward - will I still get the bonus miles? Just debating whether or not I need to entirely cancel and rebook certain reservations I have already made...

Is there any sort of name matching when crediting a rental to UA? I have a friend who will be renting for an upcoming trip and he doesn't have any sort of rewards accounts (and has no interest in signing up). Would I be able to credit to my account if it's under his name?

I bit and got my 5,000+500 miles. However, I re-examined my invite e-mail and it says "These bonus miles are in addition to the offer you typically enjoy with Hertz: up to 40% off and 1,250 award miles on all Hertz rentals." The bolding is theirs, not mine. However, the screenshot at the head of this thread references a typical award of 1,000 miles.

Which is correct, 1,000 or 1,250? And either way since I've got 500 "typical" miles already, am I supposed to expect additional miles at some point (500 or 750, depending on which one is correct)?

There have been a series of offers this year -- what you see on the website is what is offered today.

What is correct depends on what your relationship to United is. Nothing but an account holder? Only 500. Top elite status? 1250. Something in between (either lower status or holding the right credit card)? Some number of miles in between (such as 1000 for United Silver).

As a United Silver using the 2500 version of the 2500/5000 bonus, I got 2500 + 500 + 500. 2500 from the 2500/5000 bonus, 500 as the starting point of "normal", and then another 500 since I'm United Silver.

I seem to recall that the second 500 (for being United Silver) took a few days longer to post to .bomb than the 2500 or the first 500. (I hate that .bomb doesn't show the actual posting date, only the transaction date or effective earning date, to hide how long they take to post.)

Miles finally posted. Frustrating to have to do all that followup but for 8000 miles. All worked out well.

Getting a little antsy... I only completed the rental 3 weeks ago with the 7500 bonus... and T&C say 6-8 weeks for posting. Based on what I'm reading here, seems many of you got them a lot sooner. My only concern is that I used girlfriend's MP #, and my name was on the rental. Nothing in T&C about matching name requirements, but concerned nonetheless.
