That's true...the ratio is better. But if you are looking for a seat to buy, more is better.

I used to prefer the pmUA 767 over the 777 mainland to HNL for that reason; the ratio was better meaning the upgrade opportunity was by definition better.

Or to sit in, as I also prefer 744 UD.

But the 789 does have a relatively generous ratio of BF seats.

May be a change after the 8/1 schedule. The 9/1 schedule shows the same, but if they just changed it now it will be in the 10/1 schedule.

This is a consistent timeframe with the general observation the UA schedule is notional until about 3 months out.

This flight used to switch seasonally between 747 and PMUA 772, both with 3 class service.

As noted, the seasonal switches will now be to 2-class a/c if they even keep the 747 service in the future.

In January, I'm booked on a PMCO 772 NRT-HNL. What happened to the 787-9?

So it doesn't return later in the schedule? The equipment does or used to originate on the mainland.

The NRT-HNL-NRT flights used to operate on a W pattern out of the mainland. (ie, xxx-NRT-HNL-NRT-xxx where xxx was SFO, ORD, etc)
