UA beat out all the majors for last place, and only Frontier snuck by below it overall...

UA held second to last among legacy 'traditional' in JDP-speak carriers in the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 studies, kept off the bottom by US Airways.
UA tied for bottom in 2008 with NW.

I think its time for Southwest to be considered a traditional carrier rather than a LCC. They haven't been low cost in a while.
I'm no fan, but their score would put them at the top of the traditional list.

but, but, but, people buy on price, and, uh, its getting a lot better, United is on an upswing, and uh, "we are the brand", and uh, no one cares about the soft and hard product, its all schedual, and uh, the 787.
I am actually flying US in a few days SFO-PHL (come on VX, add it back!!!). purchased First Class, UA is now down to two flights a day, and they wanted crazy fares, not at all competitive with what AA or DL (with a connection) was offering. Curious to see what the merger has done to US's service levels.

truly shocking
unfortunate that they didn't rank Spirit, or PeoplExpress for that matter, i'd like to see how UA stacks up against that competition

But hey, as the "savvy" folks all know, product does not matter, its all price and schedual. Just odd to hear you commenting on how poor the US product is?

Actually I think they are now serving "Java City", but you are right, the plane will be as dark as most of my UA flights have been. Perhaps this explains why US was (until United was jeff-ed up enough to fall below it) bottom of the rankings.

It's still FreshBrew as of last night.
I have to say though, most of AA's new planes are fantastic. I loved the 77W to London two weeks ago.
The MD-80 last night, well... 1985 called and wants their plane back. I thought I saw Ronald Reagan sitting in First Class.
